July 14, 2014  ⋅  Burke for Wisconsin

Volunteer of the Week: Eilene from Milwaukee

Volunteers are truly the backbone of this campaign. Since Day 1, back in October, we’ve been fortunate to have some incredibly dedicated volunteers. Volunteers who put aside time in their busy schedules to make phone calls, knock on doors, and talk to their friends and family about Mary Burke and why she’s the right choice for governor. We wouldn’t have been able to make the kind of amazing progress we’ve made in this race so far without such an incredible base of grassroots support. We won’t be able to win in November without the continued support from volunteers across the state. We want to take time to say thank you by highlighting one of our many fantastic volunteers every week from now through Election Day.

Volunteer of the Week: Eilene from Milwaukee

Our first volunteer of the week is Eilene from Milwaukee.

Eilene is a former high school teacher who has been a dedicated volunteer for the Democratic Party since 2012. As an office manager at our campaign office in Glendale, she greets other volunteers and supporters, manages summer interns, organizes the call list, and helps decide where volunteers will canvass. She does all of this with a smile. Eilene is an important fixture at our Glendale office and irreplaceable is an understatement. We are fortunate to have such a great person working with us to help Mary to victory in November.

Because of people like Eilene we’ve been able to build this campaign from the bottom up. Early vote begins in less than 100 days. We’ll need all the support we can get on the ground to make sure we win in November. Will you join Eilene and step up to volunteer to make we win in November? The first step is to sign up here!
